Abstract

National integration is a process of uniting the differences that exist in a multicultural Indonesian society, both in terms of ethnicity, religion, culture, and language, in order to create national unity. In this context, the younger generation plays an important role because they are agents of change and successors of the nation's ideals. The challenges of globalization, technological developments, and the influence of foreign cultures are threats that can increase the spirit of nationalism and hinder the process of national integration if not balanced with a strong national awareness. This study aims to determine the real role of the younger generation in supporting national integration and the factors that influence it. The benefits of this study are to provide an understanding of the importance of the role of youth in

maintaining the integrity of the nation and motivating them to participate actively. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach through literature studies. The results of the study show that the younger generation can strengthen national integration through the spirit of mutual cooperation, maintaining harmony between religious communities, the spirit of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, and the wise use of social media.
