Abstract

The Republic of Indonesia is a country based on law, where the society in Indonesia carries out its obligations by adhering to the existing laws. Laws cannot be implemented without law enforcement officers who possess credibility, competence, and independence. This article aims to understand the impact of law enforcement amidst the crisis of democracy and justice in Indonesia. The benefits of law enforcement can protect citizens' rights from injustice with the principles of humanity and mutual respect for the sustainability of the applicable law. Law serves as a protector of human interests aimed at creating order in life, as well as a guide for collective behavior in conflict resolution. In addition, justice also has a significant impact on the application of laws that protect the rights of every individual. The method used is library study, the data collection is done by finding sources and reconstructing from various references, such as books, journals, and existing research. The results of this study emphasize the importance of fair law enforcement and upholding democratic values that make Indonesia a just country in all areas of law.
