Low student participation in Pancasila and Civic Education classes is one of the challenges faced by elementary school teachers, primarily due to the limited variety of instructional media used. This study aims to identify the innovative instructional media used and analyze their impact on student participation at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Miftahul Huda 2 in Palangka Raya. The study employed a qualitative method using a case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and then analyzed descriptively. The results indicate that the use of innovative learning media—such as images, videos, LCD-based presentations, and other technological devices—can enhance students’ attention, motivation, understanding, and engagement in the learning process. Visual media help students understand abstract concepts more concretely, thereby encouraging active participation in discussions and learning activities. However, the utilization of learning media still faces challenges in the form of limited technological facilities and teachers’ technical skills. With adequate support and the development of teachers’ competencies, innovations in learning media have the potential to enhance the effectiveness of Pancasila and Civic Education instruction and sustain student participation.
