TANGGUNG JAWAB PRESIDEN DALAM PENEGAKAN HUKUM DAN KEADILAN DI INDONESIA

Abstract

Law enforcement and justice are the fundamental pillars in realizing the rule of law

as mandated by the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. The President, as both head

of state and head of government, holds a strategic responsibility in ensuring the supremacy of law,

guaranteeing the independence of law enforcement institutions, and promoting a fair and

transparent judicial system. In carrying out these duties, the President is also expected to be a role

model in obeying the law, both personally and through governmental policies. Through exemplary

leadership, justice-oriented policies, and consistent supervision of law enforcement practices, the

President plays a crucial role in strengthening the integrity of the national legal system. This study

emphasizes that the success of law enforcement and justice in Indonesia largely depends on thePresident’s commitment, integrity, and moral responsibility to uphold constitutional principles free

from political intervention.
